25 Years GenuTrain® – The Original
For 25 years the GenuTrain has proven highly effective for treating knee ailments – it reduces pain and relieves the joint. Patients suffering from irritations or instability receive the necessary treatment from the support, which enables them to remain active. Like all our active supports, the GenuTrain works in combination with movement: It provides a massaging effect that stimulates the musculature surrounding the joint and increases joint stability.
A highlight of the new GenuTrain is the improved elasticity in the knit: Bauerfeind achieves 30 percent greater diagonal stretch without reducing the already established compression. This increases the patient’s overall comfort and compliance while wearing and donning the support. The support offers greater stretch tolerance for extremely unusual thigh and calf dimensions.
The newly constructed knit offers more breathability, which is apparent in the new design. The new design is more dynamic, and the redesigned pattern of the support provides a better grip on the skin, which clarifies the medical effectiveness.
GenuTrain still features the proven, anatomically formed viscoelastic insert that massages the tissue surrounding the patella during movement, speeding the reduction of edema. It directs pressure away from the patella and redistributes it to the surrounding soft, swollen tissues. The GenuTrain centers the patella for correct application and reapplication of the support.
GenuTrain was developed in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Heinrich Hess, a former team physician for the German National Football Team, as well as Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Krause who was the director of the Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe Orthopedic Clinic at the time.
